LUDACRIS ON "HOW LOW" REACHING A MILLI, "WE'RE GONNA KEEP GOING & HITTING THEM"
Grammy-winning rapper Ludacris has released a statement speaking on the success of his "Get Low" hit single reaching over a million digital downloads.
Speaking to a small media crew, Luda compared his latest smash to the 2000 Back For The First TIme album single, "What's Your Fantasy."
"This marks my ten years at Def Jam, in the music industry as a successful artist and as you can tell, I'm just as hungry as when 'What's Your Fantasy' came out," Luda explained. "A lot of people were comparing this to 'What's Your Fantasy,' so another ten years, we're gonna keep going and hitting them -- I'm one of those artists that likes to make everybody's job easier and I'll continue to do that no matter how many records I sell, no matter how much success I get, I will continue to stay the same person, a hard-working individual..." Earlier this week, Luda informed his Twitter followers of hitting a million downloads through a photo showing his plaque.
"Just got handed my platinum plaque from def jam," he wrote, for 'How Low'. buy on Itunes so we can take it to 2x plat!" (Ludacris' Twitter)
He also spoke on the song's overall motivation during NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas.
"Athletes get motivated by songs sometimes," he said in an interview. "That's part of our motivation to make sure we get everybody else motivated. When we get in the studio, we want to make songs that are gonna play at such things as the All-Star game or the Super Bowl. That's my motivation. I'm feeling extremely excited. We pushed it up a week, due to the anticipation. I'm feeling real good about it. We're almost platinum on the digital download singles. Thanks to everybody for buying that 'How Low.' The track will be featured on Luda's upcoming Battle of the Sexes album.
"The release date on the new album is officially March 9th, it was March 16th, it's been pushed up a week due to the anticipation, feeling good, Battle of the Sexes, just got picked up on the Black Eyed Peas tour, so we'll be promoting that starting Thursday all the way until the end of April," Luda said in an interview. "So look for Battle of the Sexes on March 9th. Females from the past, present and future. Everybody from Eve, Trina, Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, I got records talking about women, to women, women talking back to me and at the same time, just great music. Battle of the Sexes is scheduled to drop Tuesday, March 9th.

The decision came after over seven hours meeting of the executive members of the Nigeria Football Federation in Abuja early morning on Saturday.
Briefing Journalist on their decision, the Federation's communiquéDrafting Committee Chairman, Obinna Ogba explained that Mr.Lagerback will soon sign a five months contract within which he will lead Nigeria's fourth appearance at the FIFA’s world cup Finals in South Sfrica.
He explained that the new Technical Adviser was chosen because of his wealth of experience and knowledge of football.
Ogba also disclosed intention of the Federation to provide Mr. Lagerback with foreign and local assistant coaches but did not mention names. Although the total take home package of the foreign coach was not announced, the Chairman said, he would be paid through the Presidential Task Force(PTF).
The NFF had interviewed five foreign Coaches in a bid to make impact at the forthcoming first world cup fiesta on the African soil in June. The result announced by the board member show that out of the five Coaches interviewed Lagerback came first with former Senegalese National Team Coach Bruno Metsu and Former England’s' Coach Glen Hurdles sharing the second and third positions. Others who were interviewed are former Black Stars of Ghana coach Ratomir Djukovic as well as another former England Boss Sven Goran Erickson
Ogba further revealed that Mr. Lagerback's contract would be signed in the next seven days suggesting that he will not be at the helm of affairs when the Super Eagles take on the Democratic Republic of Congo on the 3rd of March in a friendly encounter at the Abuja National Stadium.
Correspondent Nnabuchi okey Nnabuchi of Galaxy Television reports that the Nigeria Football Federation also announced indefinite suspension of Sharks Football Club of Portharcourt for non compliance with the statutory provisions guiding association football.

Fashion royalty turned out in force in London for the funeral of designer Alexander McQueen.
Supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell and fellow designer Stella McCartney joined members of McQueen's family to say a final farewell to the flamboyant fashionista.
About 100 mourners attended the funeral of McQueen, real name Lee, at St Paul's Church in leafy Knightsbridge, west London.
The congregation, including Ms Moss and Ms Campbell who were both dressed entirely in black, spent around an hour inside the church before the coffin - laden with pink, white and red roses - was carried out by four pallbearers.
It was loaded into a waiting hearse with "Lee" in white flowers on the back. The hearse drove off and slowly followed by two black stretch Jaguars carrying Mr McQueen's family.
Ms Moss, wearing a black knee length dress teamed with sunglasses, a black fur stole and black five inch Louboutin heels, looked upset as she got into a waiting car dressed.
She was followed by her close friend Ms McCartney who wore black pleated trousers, knee high boots and a short windjacket.
Ms Campbell was one of the last mourners to leave the church wearing a severed hat, black gloves and a jacket with oversize shoulder pads.
Artist Daphne Guinness teamed a black skirt suit with an elaborate Lady GaGa-style full length veil and beehive hairdo. Also among the mourners were artist and director Sam Taylor-Wood.
McQueen's father Ronald was joined by his five children at the ceremony which came two weeks after the 40-year-old's death.
He was discovered hanged in a wardrobe at his £2 million Mayfair home by his cleaner on the eve of his mother's funeral on February 11th.
An inquest into his death was told that he left a suicide note for his loved ones, which is believed to have been found at the scene. Friends told how he had locked himself away and refused to get out of bed after his mother Joyce, to whom he was said to have been extremely close, died on February 2nd.
McQueen, the son of an East End cabbie, had three sisters and two brothers. His sister Janet McQueen, from Hornchurch, who was among the mourners today, identified his body.
McQueen's death came just days before London Fashion Week, which opened last Friday.
One mourner said: "It was a lovely service."
McQueen's life is due to be remembered through his clothes at Paris Fashion week on March 9th.

"The baby will be here Sunday, no later than Sunday!" The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) said excitedly. "The baby already has a car, I got a house just for the baby — Christina can't get in the baby's car. I'm giving all my attention that I usually give to Christina to the baby, all the flowers I usually give Christina, I'm giving them to the baby.
"It's a girl, Violet will be her first name," he revealed. "I'm not telling you the middle name, you gon' get me in trouble." Still, with all the excitement a new couple experiences with their first child, Dream said it's business as usual in the Nash household.
"I've been working like a regular person works in America. They have jobs whether someone's pregnant or not," he laughed.
The Dream is also ready to shoot the video for his new song Love King and he also cleared some things up about his new hit song.
"On 'Love King,' I'm talking about those girls that like my music and how they're everywhere," he said. "They're the girls in church, girls in the club, in Miami — my music's everywhere. I don't mean that I have girls everywhere; it's not literal, but women do gravitate to my songs."
"We're shooting the videos in two weeks," he said. "The remix to 'Love King' with Ludacris which is crazy, it sounds like a '90s Jodeci remix, with their type of big harmonies on the hook. You'll get what I'm saying when you hear it. It's the swing."

50 CENT SUED OVER RICK ROSS' BABY MUM'S SEXTAPE
It looks like 50 Cent's battle with Rick Ross isn't quite over. He's not exactly beefing with him still, but it looks like Ricky Ross' alleged baby mother is taking Curtis Jackson to court over a sex tape that was released by 50 Cent as retaliation to Rick Ross' disses.
Lastonia Leviston filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in Manhattan, claiming unauthorized use of her name or image and emotional distress caused by the public release of a video she made with an unidentified man in 2008. In the tape, Leviston is seen showing off a tattoo on her chest with the initials "RR," seemingly in reference to Ross, and 50 is heard providing exaggerated voice-over narration to the action in his wigged "Pimpin' Curly" persona.

Rap veteran Ice Cube has announced his return to the recording studio with the upcoming release of his next solo album, I Am The West.
Writing via a blog posting, Cube broke the news of his return to hip-hop.
"I AM THE WEST...is the name of my new record. After completing about 65% of my music, this is the perfect title. This sh*t is cocky, no apologies, West Coast gangsta shit. I can't help it. That's what I do. June seems too tight for a release, but July is very doable. We'll see how things go. Now that I have my title, I can work on the concept of my photoshoot and artwork. The project marks Cube's latest since 2008's Raw Footage.
Three years later he revived his barely used Lench Mobb label for his solo comeback album, Laugh Now, Cry Later. In the Movies, a compilation of soundtrack cuts, was put together for a 2007 release. A year later he returned with Raw Footage, an album filled with Cube's observations on politics along with the single "I Got My Locs On" featuring special guest Young Jeezy. (All Music)

SADE'S "SOLDIER OF LOVE" PROJECTED TO SELL 100K+ IN WEEK 3
Music veteran Sade's comeback album, Soldier of Love, is projected to sell over 100,000 copies during its third week in stores.
Based on one-day estimates, the singer will likely reign supreme on the sales charts.
The Epic diva, whose Soldier of Love debuted with 500k in sales, will spend a third week at #1, thanks to those retailers still brave enough to keep their shelves stocked and their credit card machines oiled. Now if only getting a health care plan passed was that simple. FAITH EVANS SUED OVER BIGGIE VIDEO DEAL
A lawsuit was filed Tuesday in L.A. count Superior Court, against Biggie Smalls widow, Faith Evans, in regards to video footage of the legendary rapper.
According to Kaushi Entertainment they struck a $30,000 deal with Evans for home footage of the late rapper. The footage was to be used in a documentary.
Kaushi claims they made good on their part of the dealing but the footage was never handed over and as a result they want more than $1,000,000. Evans and Biggie were married in August of 1994 and have one son together

Two days ago we learned that The diva latina aka. Jennifer Lopez and her all-time record label, Epic, had parted ways. Today Jenny has finally commented on the matter, explaining the reasons and also the current status of her new album "Love?". Here's what Jennifer has said:
"I have fulfilled my contractual obligations to Sony/Epic and felt it was time to move on. It was an amicable split not as the media will paint it out to be. I have been with Sony for many years and we achieved great success together. During this period I never stopped the creative process and my album Love? will still be released in the summer of 2010 as planned."
"I know my fans have been wondering what has been going on with my album. I have been in the process of a transition and now I am happy that all the issues have been resolved and I have found a new home."
